Mathew is gifted in the sense of humor.

Well today Matt & I took Mathew Bowling he was doing the Fred Flintstone Bowling thing where Fred gets on his toes and Bowls Will Mathew was trying to do that it was funny to watch him Matt and had some good laughs. Also Mathew would talk and wave his hands at the ball it was so funny to watch.
Mathew is into Mathew right now LOL he wants how many days is in a year and I tell 365 days makes a year he goes would it great to have a birthday every day I go know you would be old LOL.
Matt gave Mathew my bowling shoes and was telling I had the wrong size I go honey those are mine. These are Mathew size 13 kids I have size 3 kids. I ask Mathew did he put on my Bowling shoes he goes Daddy gave to me. LOL

Mathew therapy are Speech ANd occupation.

Mathew has been taking Speech Therapy begin September 2006 at age 2 years ans 11..months twice a week 30 minutes a section. It was just change to one time a week 30 minutes a section. I had test for fine motors kills problems at age 4 years old he year would be 2007 was on target . I had retest this January 2010 and in March found out he has low muscle tone in his hands. He goes one time a week 30 minutes a section he has been twice time went f=very well second time not good so we go again Monday.
He is meds for the ADHD so I am praying he will do good in his O Therapy on Mondays.

Order new school curriculum

Well Mathew 2010-2011 curriculum has been order. My friend is going to make the two poster with pictures for each subject and fun activity . Mathew will have 4 drawers he can see thought on the drawers will have a picture of two subject and the fun activity for after both subjects are done school will be from 9:30-12:30 P.M.. We will be up by 7:00 A.M. to do morning chores and have breakfast by 8:30 A.M..
We are using for core subject the Heart of Dakota curriculum and for extra Sciences some fun kits from My Father's World. We will do school Monday-Thursday with Friday as make-up day also field trip day. Thursday afternoon we will have homeschool group.
Not sure what day of the and time his Speech Therapy and OT. I did ask if possible to do after 12:30 P.M.
Right now OT is one time a week 30 mins and Speech also one time a week for 30 mins. but at two different schools.
We are still reading everyday and doing homeschool group things and field trips. Our full schedule will start on August 9,2010.

Sorry I have been MIA I forgot my password.
WELL Mathew finish first grade on April 20,2010 He was so upset went I told him he was promote to second grade he goes oh no I am in First grade I need to stay in first grade. Matt & I explain Promote to him. Then he was so excite he goes I passa nd I was promote to second grade.Then he goes NO SCHOOL FOR 90 DAYS i HAD TOLD HIM FOR THREE MONTHS LOL. We will start school again on August 9,2010.
We will still have him read every day and we will read to him and do do field trips and Homeschool stuff with Sonshine Christian Homeschool group.
We had Earth class Thursday and he went to Moon Bonce after class. We went to the state park today and learn the Cycle and food Chain and made a Food web.
Mathew Speech Thearpy has been reduce 1x week and now he will get OT he does not have dsygraphic he has low mucsle tone from cord being around his neck at birth.
It really does hurt him to write but with ot he will be good a s new .

CAT Test later

I am giving Mathew CAT test later in May. He only has 5 days of school left he told someone to he was excited.

Well school is back in a our house. We did Science we did on a web we learn about your Heart, Skin and Bones. Mathew like the heart best. We did Math leaning to tell time on a Standards Clock. The reading he is doing good reading.
Tuesday School Wednesday Explore God World. Thursday & Friday the CAT test.
We have 10 days left for this school year WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This has been a great week

Mathew & I had a great spring break. Monday did laundry,Tuesday went with a friend to a mops meeting and two parks. WEnesday nothing Thursday Had meeting for the Homeschool myself and some friends have start.

Today early church and Mathew at Children call Dive Team. We Matt's Mom over and my parents. WE had for supper Ham , Mash potatoes, String Beans ,Pizza and M&C and rolls Cake.
Mathew recived a DS game a Video and Easter Baskek has not open in yet also Kit -kats and Resse cups.Granny gave Mathew an Video also we gave him chimpunk she gave him the the 2ed one. They were very good.

The fuuny things at our home.

Mathew is shirtless and tells Me I went outside like this and so did Daddy I go it is okay you are boy and Daddy is Man you can go with out a shirt when it is hot it is close to 90 degree here today.
The other day he came in the school room with a pillowcase on his head and on his feet saying I am a robot LOL. Came later with my sock wrap around his right arm saying I cannot write today I go honey you are left hand he left cam back in with sock wrap around both arms saying I cannot read or write today I go you read with your eyes and yes you can write LOL.
DH and I went Easter & Grocey shopping and on a lunch date. Mathew was a Granny Clark

No School today we had very nice weather day

Our week ahead Good Friday DH & I get to spend some time alone shopping and Mathew at Granny's Clark Saturday Home Depot Kids Workshop, Sunday Church and Our parents over for Easter supper. Monday nothing Tuesday at Play date for Mathew, Wednesday Awana Thursday Homeschool meeting Friday nothing Saturday nothing and Sunday Church the School. Mathew is taking the CAT test on April 15 & 16 2010

Springs in the air at our house

Well today was explore God'S World : We made cupcakes for Sprakies at AWANA tonight. We watch Grandmmomy and took her to the Dr. And Matt & Mathew clean the front yard some woo hoo.
I clean the family room & Kitchen and did some laundry. I cannot belive we only have 15 days of this school years left.boy has it gone fast.

Great Field Trip

We to a park in Farmville, Virginia for an Easter celebration with some other homeschool. That had Easter Egg hint, and dyeing eggs and crafts. WE had to leave early due DH has to work tonight so we miss all the relay race and Easter Story about GOD.
The neat thing happen Mathew got use a new spinner to dye and he yellow and blue for one. The next it was purple and green he goes to one of the ladies in charge purple & green makes black see Science in a fun time.
He got candy, and toy bat and ball.The purple & green eggs is light black or gray.
Also these homeschool are so glad I am getting group for South Hill, VA and they are going to spread the word.
Well tomorrow is Expore God World we have my Mom before she come we are going to bake cup cakes for the Sprakies Awana group.
Thursday school the Spring break YIPPIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Things are differnt at our house today.

Today DH got off work we had family time this morning. Then DH went to bed. Mathew has been watching a movie and I have been getting things ready for my new homeschool my friend I have started a new homeschool we name it Sonshine Christian Homeschool group.
Our first meeting is April 8,2010 we also have a yahoo group for this. So if you don't live our area but want to share your home school adventures with us email me at littleallenia@yahoo.com
Then I can send you invite to join the our yahoo group. I have made a schedule of activities for April & May for our group. Also wrote our mission statement and policies
School will be at 12 noon here today Mathew said he does not want to wake up Daddy so could he watch some more shows. I gave my permission. Mathew has 17 days left of school. He has April 2,5-9 2010 for Spring Break he was give the choice no spring break and finish early he gave me big sigh and said I need a break a Spring Break LOL
Mathew is still doing reading and Math he is learning to time on a standards clock.

The week-end at our house

Well we clean the bathroom and Mathew room. I help Mathew. He goes why do all have to help clean I told him that is part of being a family and I don't play in your room.
DH work last night came home just got up now eating lunch.

Our Friday and other things

Well today was Speech Thearpy, Paid a couple of bills why getting our county decal we saw a lot people and one we had not seen in a couple of years.We were in MOPS together which stands for Mothers of Preschoolers. This was the Chamber of Commerce they have a Doll M and a train one both kids took each other very well. I was so happy to hear Mathew said T. want to come see my house and play her Mom another day. If you know my little guy he can be shy and picky about playing with younger kids and girls well T is a girl and 4 years old
Well Mathew was doing his reading with DH he tells DH you read to fast Daddy I want Mom.
Mathew for Mathew is learning how to tell time with a standard clock.
Now it is P.E. because it is raining Mathew gets PS2 what happy little boy.
I know my templace keeps changing Mathew and I play round to see what we like best. Mathew pick this one

Well today we had a field trip.

First Mathew and I went to Speech Thearpy then did school in the truck just reading. Then off to a different town to the bank Mathew learn about safe deposit box the bank vault no one but employee get to know where this is.

My review on The Wanna be Series-Firefighter

This is my review on the Wanna Be series When I grew up I want be a Firefighter.
I was sent a e-book on this to download.
Well Mathew and I did this study Most of Monday and today. I like it because it has all subject to teach subject as Handwriting , History and Science and English also Math.
I found for had good information. The website did not work. Also it was more for third grade and up., I did like it had activity for all ages to do.
I found the Math good but hard for younger students.
I like that it had all the answer keys.
I would recommend this project for for older children students and more then one students. Also for people who do unit study and lapbook
The Old School House Magazine puts this out. I did love the different Theme activity they subject and the end of the program.
When my child is older I think this would be a good product.

Our last day with this unit study of I want to Be a Firefighter

Today we learn to be a firefighter you have to be 18 years old and go to Fire Academy for 17-20 weeks for training.
The Firefighter telling the story works in Southwest part of the Untied States he has a wife and three children. He explain a Fire fighter works 24 hour shift and also have to be in good shape.
Each Firefighter has a different job and title and a fire truck is call apparatus and the firefighter who drive is is a engineer
The fir fighter use dogs in the 1800's to help move people out of the way and other dogs from scare the horse.
They us a Dalmatians because they were not scare of horse.
Firefighter gets paid a according to their job title and years on the job. Also where they live. Paid ranges from $30,000-$84,000 dollars.
There are volunteer Fire department these Firefighter do not get paid.
